    I'm keen to purchase a new battery for the GT6. In my experience, I've found that Bosch/ Varta batteries with the 5 year warranty are dependable but curious if a favourite option/ capacity exists? Merry Christmas, and thanks!

    Quite an eclectic collection. Sorry to hear about the stroke. I would ask yourself one question - if you recovered fully tomorrow and walked into your garage empty, which car would you miss the most? Work backwards from there. Best wishes for a speedy return to normal!

    Just received a quote from a local SE London shop for £100 to chrome the above gear lever. Blimey! Anyone know of another option with a good reputation?

    Technically, it was manufactured in the UK, so it’s a reimport. But no, the issue is that Khan’s draconian ULEZ charge affects all vehicles made after 1980 and before 2006. That man has destroyed the city of London and has got to go!

    The irony is that a new giant Audi SUV is exempt but my little Mini isn't because of some idiotic loop hole. I'll sorely miss it but hope someone will cherish it as I have!

    I must be nuts then but I thought they were GT6 cars with different headlamp assemblies.

    If the Lemas Spitfires were regular Spitfires with a fastback and more power, and a GT6 is a Spitfire with a fastback with more power, the link doesn't appear to be as weak as you suggest perhaps?

    I may be biased but I believe the GT6 looks best in Damson and the "other" yellow.

    Back on topic, I can now confirm that the highest paid for a GT6 Mk2 was £25K in 2020. Admittedly in excellent condition, similar to the Mk3 listing above if not slightly more original. With that information, would the seller be able to get anything close to his asking price?

    Has a comparison/ test/ review between an e-type and a GT6 ever been done? I'd have imagined the Jaguar would have won that round due to the increased power. One thing's for sure, the GT6 is rarer, with so few made and even fewer surviving. I expect the car will rapidly appreciate as more people learn about them.

    Pancake filters! I'll have you know they are more than bling...they sound good too! I don't find the MK3 as attractive so would never pay that price. I believe a MK2 did actually sell for close to that price recently!

    Thanks! I use Valvoline VR1 20W50 in the engine as it has an excellent reputation and high Zinc content. Liqui moly also has an excellent reputation in the German car scene, including my vehicles, but I prefer purchasing the community recommend oil. Sounds like you’re saying that Miller’s is it and nothing else comes close?

    Was able to acquire this. Shift pattern isn’t painted but it’s a start. Now all I need is the actual chrome lever.

    Sadly, all 3 gear levers are either in terrible condition or sold. If anyone has an original chromed gear lever for sale, ideally with shifter patter on the knob, please reach out!
