  2. Hello is it me or has anyone else noticed that the new parts catalogue that came this month with the courier magazines contains no prices. Even though on the cover it states all prices inclusive of VAT. i am not seeing things HELP
  3. You can buy these dash cards from various suppliers. I retrimed my Herald a couple of years ago. They are made of compressed cardboard and Finnish of in black. Look at the supplier website and it will tell you part numbers and a discretion where it fits
  4. I don’t get it. Why oh why but things of eBay and then you are surprised when you get totally useless parts. Just go to a reputable supplier of triumph parts. You know what Winston Churchill said. If you do not know. I will tell you

    Car covers.

Bought one from the club shop about five years ago. It goes on the car every winter in my garage. Yes fits well very well made and nice and soft lining so never scratched the paint. Go and get one
  6. Try your local machine mart. Very good quality and you get what you pay for for any tool. If you really want the best try snap on. Mine are over 40 years old Andrew
  7. As requested bought from the club shop it is carpet, fit very well and it does not move at all Andrew
  8. I bought a boot floor mat from the club shop. Great fit and just makes the boot look so much tidier. Andrew
  9. Yes I also do that and never had a problem getting nice warm air
  10. Here is an old truck to avoid air locks. When you have drained the system for whatever reason. Start the car up let it idle and fill up the system as it runs, works every time I guarantee it. andrew
  11. Thanks all cannot get it working so ordered two just is case from rimmers. Interestingly they only sell valves for MG let’s see if it fits
  12. Hello as my voluntary MOT is due my windscreen washer have decided to stop working. The fault is the one way valve on the pipe in the bottle. This is not an electric pump but the old fashioned pump it yourself. Can the one way valve stop working and if so is they an easy remedy or do I just buy a new one as it won’t break the bank regards Andrew
  13. Yes I can confirm it is a dynamo bracket of a Herald or Vitesse Andrew
  14. Treat her with respect and she will return the favour with lots of fun.
  15. Would it just be easier and more reliable to just buy a new tank?
  16. Looking from the back of the car it is left and right
  17. This is how you solve your issue. I had exactly the same issue when I replaced both my front callipers on my 13/60. Do it one side at a time. Remove both pads out of the calliper give the pedal a couple of pumps to get the pistons out of their normal position, and make the piston seal movement. Push both pistons back in replace pads and do the same on the other side. I guarantee that will fix the problem. The piston seals are dragging the piston back into the calliper and not allowing any movement Andrew
  18. Buy one of those dehumidifier bags that can be reused from the club shop
  19. Bloody hell let’s complicate it. Simple if red light on no charge to battery. So left long enough flat battery end of
  20. My point is as a old triumph mechanic once told me that if your car does not have a Rev counter to set the idle speed by the best guide is set the idle to when the red light just flickers on. When this speed is set and the red light is flickering the Dynamo is not charging for obvious reasons. This is quite normal and no harm done. Andrew
  21. At idle just about when the red ignition light will flicker the Dynamo will not charge hence the red light. Rev up and if you have a multimeter it will then charge at about 13 to 14 amps. Andrew
  22. I bought the luminition from the club shop for my Herald. Really made a difference from the moment I switched on. More power more acceleration and no points to worry about fully recommend buying on from the shop. What ever you do do not buy a cheap unit. Been there. Andrew
  23. Just buy brand new callipers from the club shop which are very good quality. You are then ready to swop the items over with no mess. The removal of the callipers and discs is a very straight forward job. Andrew
  24. What is wrong with the rest of it. I refurbished mine Bly a couple of weeks ago and it was in a worse stare than yours andrew

    Servo

In my opinion our cars do not need a servo. I think for the weight of our cars and the speed we do a servo not required. I like my cars as near to original as can be.
