Exhaust Manifold

How to take it off and anything I need to look out for

Fairly straightforward once you've removed the carbs and cables, it's just unscrewing nuts and metal clamps from studs, although some of the lower / underneath nuts can be hard to reach, and you may need a slim-wall socket to clear the edges of the manifold. It's in two parts, inlet and exhaust, and the exhaust is held on by two outer studs and clamps at the centre. If you're only removing it to work on the head you don't need to remove the exhaust first, just let it drop out of the way. Make sure you hang on to the nuts and spring washers unless you have replacements close to hand, and note where the clamps go before removal.
