ChrisTasmania
Another question, sorry. Wish I had one to look at.. How on earth does the fuel line from the tank on a Mk 2 Vitesse find it's way over/around the diff/rear suspension after poking through the floor and on its way to join the main line along the chassis rail? Got me bamboozled.. A photo would be beyond fabulous.. Thanks, especially Peter, for the help with front valance. Cheers Chris
johny
mines a mk 1 but reckon itll be the same where it comes through floor and crosses to outrigger. Then carries on all the way along the side of outrigger and chassis rail - sorry no photo but its pretty straight forward.....
NonMember
I nearly posted the same comment but the Mk2 has wishbone brackets in the way of the Mk1 routing, I think.
Paul H
Here’s some pics I took pf my mk2 vitesse . I have added vertical shocks and the fuel line, part copper , part Gates Barricade The previous owner had positioned the piping to the front of the arch, see remaining holes. I chose to bring in the fuel pipe to the right of the tank so I could add inline fuel filter and manual switch valve , apart from isolating the fuel for filter changes etc it can be used as an anti theft device. Hope this helps Paul
daverclasper
Hi Paul, do you have a link/info on where you got the inline fuel tap from please. Cheers, Dave

Cheers, Dave This looks like the one I purchased , please double check the diameter you require , pretty sure mine as 5/16 or 8mm ebay link https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IN-LINE-FUEL-TAP-STAINLESS-BALL-BRASS-TAILS-TO-8mm-ID-PIPE-COMPETITION-RACE-ADV/352558745678?hash=item521623884e:g:rJ4AAOSw4eJbH519 Paul

Badwolf
Just had a similar one delivered. Strange how these things come along, a bit like buses!. Also got a one way valve as well. Bit of overkill but that should stop my drain back to the tank. Where should I put the reminder to turn it on when I need to.
Pete Lewis
Os there any reason you cannot exit the floor, head direct centrally across to the main rail and then just follow that to the front ?? Rather than the tortuous route round the wheel arch ?? Pete

That's certainly the route on a Mk1 but to keep it clear of the axle at full droop it runs along the outside, through where the inner wishbone bracket is on a Mk2. dave.vitesse
The normal route is along the chassis, then drop down under the rear half-shaft (loop) and then up to the rear chassis section before entering the boot. Dave
