daverclasper
Hi. Looking to buy one for general and maybe car use for around £30, as doesn't need to be pro quality. I understand the Attachments are not universal?. Any suggestions/recommendations very welcome. Thanks, Dave

Clive
Do you mean an end cutter type? If so I recently bought a battery one from Lidl, very pleased with it. They also sell mains ones every now and again. As do Aldi. And you get a no quibble 3r warranty....

Nick Jones
Suspect he means something more like a Dremel? I’ve not been able to find a decent, reasonable priced one for a while now. B&Q used to do a decent one but no longer. Have a Silverline one at present but wouldn’t really recommend it. Nick
ahebron
Hi Dave If you are looking for a dremel type tool then I have found most of the attachments are pretty interchangeable. I have 2 dremels and they swap tools with many of the generic ones. If you are looking for the highspeed blade type tool again I have found the blades are interchangeable. One tip is try not to buy blades that are too thick as they stress the tool and can cause it to wear out. I have Bosch but my dad has a generic make that is fine. Only battery tools I have are drills, I like mains voltage. Panasonic, Dewalt and Bosch Adrian

Ian Smith
Don't go near the cordless Ryobi. my one lasted 1 year, with minimal use, Warranty printed by Kleenex. I bought a replacement from Argos for 1/3rd price, and still going strong.
