  4. The gap on the drivers side is filled with silicone . Need to remove and try to reduce the gap. The alloy sill cover on the passenger side . Is this an aftermarket product or a standard fitting ?
  5. Hi Pete I think you are correct it’s certainly 2 Layers on both sides . Were sill repair sections available ? Paul
  6. Hi Pete just checked the passenger side and the gap is an overlap and the alloy plate is still in place . I know why the cosmetic filler was done 😱The following pics are the passenger side showing a normal step Paul
  7. Hi, new sills nearly ready for fitting on my Vitesse. Spraying done , a few blemish corrections and buffing before polishing . Turned my attention to cleaning up the drivers side step which had been smothered with filler . The metal is sound so guess it was cosmetic . There is now a clear step between the body shell and the the bulkhead . Previously this was filled and smoothed . Is the step normal ? First pic shows the step and second pic shows the new protector which will be fitted . Previously there was an hammered alloy cover which is much longer than the new one and extended the full length of the door opening . Not sure if this was original or a diy job Paul

  10. Thread Drift to main topic 😋 Use a Herald / Vitesse windscreen wiper to clean the shower . Great for curved panels . Modern wiper blades wont open enough to take on the curve Paul
  11. Agree high postage costs and lack of information and no photos put me off Paul
  12. Another vote for COB . I’ve now got the correct door seals for my Vitesse Paul

  15. Here’s a pic of no 2 cylinder plus a video apologies for the video quality at the end. I found the adjustable brightness useful Paul IMG_3043.MP4
  16. Currently on offer from Toolstation £20.99 . Draper WiFi Endoscope . Simple to setup , download the app , switch on , open WiFi settings , choose “wifi check” . Open app and you are away . You can even take photos with it . I’m using an IPhone SE to view . Lots of pick up tools , side mirror , magnet , hook, all attach to the camera which is on a 3.5 metre flexi cable . Camera pic is acceptable . For the money it’s ***** stars Paul
  17. You could drill a hole and use a slide hammer with the corkscrew attachment Paul
  18. Yes being mains powered it should have enough NM . mine came from Lidl and 330nm Paul
  19. The top is used for splitting the hub . I’ve not used this part as not applicable to the mk2 Vitesse with doughnuts Paul
  20. I sold my modern on Autotrader in early April enabling me to buy a replacement when the motor trade opened on April 12 . I knew what we needed and had a list . We purchased the replacement at 11am on the 12th April with a deal I was happy with . I went in the following week and 80% of their forecourt had changed together with several 21’s waiting to be collected . We’re going from 2 cars to one , plus of course our Vitesse . The second car is on Autotrader with a couple of enquires already . There’s a lot of pent up demand and equally a good supply of moderns . Not sure how that applies to classics but my guess is that is prices will trend up as there will be more buyers than sellers . There’s little point in saving with our low interest rates and COVID has given us a lot of time to reflect and decide what’s important in life Paul
