  5. I use Bilthamber Epoxy Mastic paint which will cover metal, paint . I wire brush , degrease , rust conversion with BH Hydrate 80 then brush paint the epoxy mastic . Finally spray can with Dynax which is a waxoyl type product . The flooring has already been under sealed so not practical to remove so spray Dynax products Paul

  10. Agreed , this is a short term fix as haven’t got a suitable replacement Paul
  11. Removed the rivet and it’s 8mm diameter so needed a M8 to replace . Locking mechanism works now as added a washer in the spring set up to ensure the “back of the hook “ didn’t jamb the roller . Paul
  12. Thanks Tony , just drilled one out and nut and bolt will do the job . This one has been smacked at some time and is bent so trying to straighten first
  13. Bonnet clamp on my Vitesse keeps sticking . The “Claw” is bent and has too much lateral movement so it jambs on the roller edge . Need to remove rivet to investigate Paul
  14. Have you tried retarding the timing ? Paul
  15. I found my misfiring was caused by the rotor arm was loose . The rivet hold the arm was becoming loose Paul
  16. I fitted Huco in my Vitesse . Positioned alongside the battery https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FUEL-PUMP-ELECTRIC-FOR-SUCTION-HUCO-133010-ENGINE-BAY-FITMENT/264031210689? You will need an inertia switch like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/First-Inertia-Switch-Vehicle-Crash-Sensor-Standard-Ignition-Electric-Fuel-Pump/402543089068? works well for me .I’ve protected the pump with an inline filter and a visible glass filter before the carbs Paul
  17. I used https://www.frost.co.uk/por15-car-bike-motorcyle-fuel-tank-repair-sealer-473ml/? Follow the instructions to the letter worked for me Paul

  19. 2 Chassis bolts loosened by A post and 3 self tappers loosened on body tub joint . Roof bolts still tight Body jacked byB post and gap now as good as I can get see pic . The Jack is in place overnight and final job is to add new packing which will be a mixture of Penny washers and Wellington boot washers Paul
  20. Just loosening the 2 remaining chassis bolts to assist the lift and found 3 more on the outrigger just ahead of drivers seat . Are these ok or should they be bolts Paul
