    He sold up and moved to Spain back in 1999/2000? I did hear that he was thinking of moving back but not sure? There is a old Petrol Station /Classic car garage called "2 oaks or Royal Oak" something like that on the Totnes main road fron Newton Abbot, Ipplepen and next to that was a Bungalow he used to live in!

    I used to attend "The Star" back in 1998 when I lived in Newton Abbot when carrying out my Restoration of my 1600/6 and i still have not got it on the road LOL! This is the car when I found it in a barn! up a mountain in Totnes in 1997! Its parked up where I used to work at ARG, Bovey Tracey. Taken Before i went down to Stan Walters in Totnes for a new Chassis.

    Did my 1600/6 late last year! Make sure you get the right Gasket? There are a few different ones out their? It only took less than a hour to fit! with no problems! The is a set number sequence for Torqueing them down

    That looks like my Vitesse 1600/6 when I found it in a barn up on a Totnes Mountain in 1997!! If you go onto the "Canley Classics" website you can click on the 13/60 website and it will have all the Diagrams and Part Number for your vehicle! And they are a good bunch on the TSSC site even a bit "Out There"!! Some of the Jokes!! Welcome to the Forum

    Yes! Canley made a batch but have none left, Rimmer Do not have any, same as Quiller, Chic Doig and a few others! So found a set of Hook Door on TR7 site.

    Hi! Here is a Photo of mine which came with the car ! But seemed to have lost the the Door Hook Restraint x 2 and the Anti Burst Plates LH & RH!

    Hi! I only need the "Hook-Door Restraint" Pt ZKC3464 x 2 and Anti Burst Restraint - 607759 x 2? My car is a original convertible and has a new chassis and floor so it should be Non-Flexi to a certain extent?

    Hi I was sure I had these Plates somewhere?? Cannot find them! Did the Vitesse 1600/6 come with them in1966? If anyone has a set please let me know!

    Hi Gary! I have the drill holes on the car and when I purchased the car it came with only came with one! Was not sure of the code as the discription, Rimmer shows is not very good! I will order them to go with my New carpet when I finish off the bits and bobs! was hoping to finish the Total Resto 6 months ago but due to illness?? At least my 1600/6 is up and running since 1985!

    Hi! Is the " Carpet Retainer(Chrome) 704987 the piece of Chrome that fits in between the door pillars to hold the Carpet in place? If so I have one used, but will require 2 x New?

    Well! I dreamt all this the other night! I cannot carry out any big works as I am still unable to do them due to illness Lol! altho I was thinking of cutting the wiring from the front to the back as I used connectors and they look a bit bulky So! I am going to cut, solder and heat rap the wiring? I should be able to do that LOL? Car is now 6 months behind! (I can always lay down and do it??

    Ah! Ah! I think I am doing the last Sump Removal is because of When I got it Started any muck that might have been within the engine would have cleaned out from the top of the engine and fallen down into the Sump? I suppose I am over doing things as an Oil change should do it? My Memory isnt what it used to be LOL!

    When I dismantled the car back in 1997 I cleaned the Sump out and partly filled it with oil! when the car went into storage. When it came out of storage 2019, I removed the Sump again and again partially filled the engine with oil so I could run the engine as it had not run since 1985! which I have now done. The car is nearly restored and when it goes for MOT I will then remove the sump and clean it and fill it up with new oil! What a exhausting way too go!!
