  1. I have them fitted to the wheel arches on my 13/60 convertible and they work fine. You need to get a version that is designed to be fitted at any angle. They were a bit of a bind to set correctly to start with though.
  2. Pneu is French for tyre. Just as the 'p' is pronounced in 'taking the p!## the 'p' is pronounced in pneu, short for pneumatique. Pardon my French 😏🇨🇵
  3. I saw her on stage in London in a performance of 'Follies' in the West End. She wasn't the reason I went. Acting and singing she could do but they 'amended' her role so she didn't have to dance. This was several life times ago when we still lived in England
  4. I nearly said that but I'M too polite 😇
  5. Yes, very slow this morning. Not my internet connection, it is as fast (slow) as usual.
  6. Are you turning the key the correct way? I know it sounds daft but mine can be locked by turning the key in either direction but only unlocks if it has been turned in the correct direction to lock it. It is probably due to old lock, recut key etc
  7. I also have the 'T' shirt for this 🤫
  8. I can revert to being a grumpy old git, plus being embarrassed. So that is what the dot and star are for! The star also points out that I have been following that thread. 🙄
  9. Me again. Just to say I really do miss the option of going straight to the first unread comment on a thread. This is a very useful option. On this thread, for example, this morning I had the options of either going to the start of the subject or going to the last posted message. Going to the last posted message meant I had to backtrack to last nights and this mornings postings to get to where I was the last time I logged on, it even needed me to go back a page. If the 'first unread' option can be reintroduced I'll be a happy chappie. No I won't I'll still be a grumpy old git but at least on this forum I'll pretend not to be 😁
  10. After the initial shock of the changes I'm getting the hang of it. It is impossible to have something that everyone likes. Think about it, we don't all have the same model of Triumph because we are different and want different things from our cars. I take my hat off, well I would if I wore one, to all those who put the time in to keep things working 👏
  11. I flushed my Heralds heater out with mains pressure water and the garden hose, the hose was a perfect fit to the inlet on the valve. Pressure in the house is limited to 3 bars, I think.
  12. In the case of the "27th..." post, after the text there is a small clock and "18 minutes ago" this is what you click on to go to the last posting. You have the "expanded" option selected hence the text and clock/time on the left. If you had the compressed version you don't get the text and the clock/time is on the right
  13. I use google Chrome and I see the clock icone, it is on the right of the first part of the comment
  14. Round out how to go directly to the latest post on a thread. Click on the clock logo and time
  15. And a couple of options when you look at the "unread" heading. No longer the option of going to top of page of last read comments or going to the first non read post - the one I use.
  16. The magazine mailing list would have all countries for all members
  17. I don't have a garage 😤 but do have an insulated mug, my wife's really, it is Mexican - Day of the Dead !
  18. I rarely drink & work on the Triumph at the same time, the tea either gets cold or spilled. If I did I suppose I ought to use my bright red 'Force Ouvrier' union mug with their logo on 'FO' to warn people away and not interupt.
  19. OK, so probably best to go gently on the hinges then rather than striker. Although if moving the striker is simple then I might move it first all the same to see how it turns out, I can always back track. Humm... Now just need a dry day so I can get out there
  20. I will try adjusting the striker first, slacken it and a tap with a hammer, to see if this works and only if not think about the hinges. I might even live with it rubbing rather then risk the hinges. I'll also have a closer look at the how the trim on the door lines up with the body work, I know it isn't 100% but is pretty good and wouldn't want to make it worse by raising the door. Thanks Pete, no wonder you are a 10th Dan.
  21. That's good as they are easy to get at, not sure they will be easy to undo as it looks as if when the car was resprayed in the past the hinges were in place and are painted. Thanks Colin
  22. Right, so far it seems I need to balance a chicken & egg, tap with a hammer . . 😁 I get the idea, thanks for the help. Should I want/need to adjust door hinge(s) is it simply a case of slacken the nuts/bolts and Allen bolt on the frame and lift the door a little. I haven't got immediate access to the car. Well I have but I'm watching the Tour de France, my other favorite activity, ok, along with smoking a good cigar (done earlier this pm) and drinking whisk(e)y (that comes later this evening). 🙄
  23. Hi all, The door or plates need a little adjustment because the plate on the door is rubbing on the top of the plate on the car. Sorry don't know the correct names for these items. Neither part seem to be adjustable for height. It looks as if the 2 options I have are:- 1. Somehow adjust the door hinges to angle them higher, but how, Please. 2. Get the mole grips out and bend the flange on the plate on the door. I prefer option 1 if possible. I can see the door is held in place by 2 hinges each with 2 nuts/bolts and what looks like an Allen bolt. The wear looks worse in the phot then it really is, it isn't a hollow just rubbing it slightly flat. The part that might need the mole grip method is the flange at the top. Thank for any/all thoughts on this.
  24. On my 13/60 the fan stopped working some months ago. First step was to connect fan direct to battery, the fan ran so not the fan. Then confirmed the ignition switch was passing current to fan switch. So fan switch was the problem. I had noticed the fan switch had more then one set of connectors. Swapped from one set to the other and all was fine. Ok so the two cars might have completely different switches but the method of tracking would still work.
  25. Ok, so same front and back then? Thanks guys
