  1. I avoid looking at the wiring behind the dash as much as possible. Guess why 😱
  2. The limescale in my kettle comes from somewhere, I don't add it . . .πŸ˜‰
  3. Part N° : 131368 Yes, clearly we haven't got anything better to do, sad really isn't it . 😱
  4. At that price maybe he's throwing in the rest of the car
  5. Is it item 13 you mean? Part NΒ° : 131368 It is available from some of the usual suppliers. I bought one some time ago but lost it before I fitted it! Haven't got round to rebuying as the postage from UK for that alone isn't worth it.
  6. Hi, the one I have for my Herald does give a body number. Listed as point 4 on the certificate.
  7. Having been born and raised in Derbyshire very close to the Yorkshire border i can say there was no love lost between the 2 sides 😁 Oh, I did live for some time in Yorkshire though πŸ˜” We used to say that A Yorkshire man was the same as a Scot but with all the generosity knocked out of him.
  8. That's my policy. I'm sure it is in the owner's handbook somewhere to do this. Possibly on the page dealing with the "air conditioning"
  9. I have one like this that I bought at a big local classic car spares gathering a couple of years ago. I haven't declared this to the vehicle registration people as I don't want to lose the right to have my car classed as "voiture de collection" πŸ₯΄
  10. Sorry but there is no room on this forum for people who have either of those afflictions πŸ₯΄
  11. I have a very simple brake bleeding system. The little garage in the next village does it for me. I'm too scared to do it myself. Actually I'm too scared to ask my darling wife to press the pedal. πŸ˜”
  12. The built in Triumph anti rust treatment system won't work as well if the rate of application is reduced πŸ˜‰
  13. Yes, the pins are more of a problem than the clips. I put a piece of carpet on the floor just in case.
  14. Is this the sort of thing you are looking for? I can't help with where they came from as they were on the wheels when I bought the car. I now have normal steel ones fitted and these are sitting peacefully in a corner. I have the original receipt and they were bought from Midland Wheel Limited back in 2013
  15. Rules? More like guidelines (that's a hint to the quote)
  16. Terrible, I feel sorry for you. A shame they hadn't better things to do !
  17. Damn! it says 'may not ship to France', oh well never mind maybe next time. 😜
  18. Humm... How long does being a newbie last I wonder, I suspect it lasts several years. In my case it did. For about 10 years when I was growing up I lived in a house on "Newby Road" ok different spelling but the effect was the same
  19. Similar case with me way back years ago. Brand new house, bought off plan, moved in a few days before Xmas. Gas heating, big problem leak in concealed pipe in kitchen wall. clearly plasterboard nail in it. Result new visible pipe installed after their Xmas hols. Evidently they had been so keen to hand over the house they didn't test the gas system.
  20. When you find one let us know. Ouch! I can feel the kicks already πŸ‘’
  21. Oh, forgot that some old cars were neg earth, unlike the super modern 13/60 😏
  22. Yes, child's play. Mine is wired so it is permanently live so I can use it when the engine isn't running. I searched the bay for one with a waterproof cover, I have a convertible, for additional protection. It came complete with simple bracket. A wire to a suitable earth point, plenty of choice under the dash another with inline fuse to +ve on battery. Just make sure when connecting you put them the correct way round or you will blow the fuse when you first use it. Just saying this for info as I'm sure you wouldn't be clumsy enough to get it wrong unlike some people ( hangs head in shame) πŸ™„πŸ™ƒ
  23. I've put one under the dash of my 13/60, others had 'hidden' one in the glove box. A useful addition, mine is used to power my 'period' (well it is quite old) nav sat unit occasionally and power the type pump. Lovely car by the way, we would love to see a full set of photos when you have them
