Colin - You'll have to excuse Chris, all this living in foreign places, not good for him.

It's the heat, the d*mn*d heat, lack of water, the triffides in the field next to the garden (ok, maize), the cats are all ganging up on me. Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me. . .

There is a Shrewsbury in Ireland (bottom right) But I don't think Colin would be there.

Not far from the British Embassy, where I could claim asylum. “This entire country is a madhouse, sir!”

however: I’m in the original and best until tomorrow. Legs are killing me with all those hills.

Which hills? The ones that are alive to the sound of music? Did I really type that? Nurse!

Stayed in Shrewsbury on the way to Stafford in 2007 Colin found a great old old Motor Factors that sold bearings and pistons there for everything, got a good set of 20thou oversize mains and big end Vandervell bearings for daughters Spit, which were duly used on the return home to Aus.

As you said hills everywhere and the old town wall walks go on for miles

According to ‘Er Indoors’ Fitbit we did over 25000 steps per day. Walked from dawn to dusk. Some great places but nothing car-related found. Now in Telford for breakfast, might head for Ironbridge.

I loved Ironbridge in 2010. Stayed on a site that was a former railway station, Wenlock Edge.

Visted the Severn Valley Railway. Frre entry to the platforms back then.

Spotted a Tr5 just outside Cannock this morning but not one smaller Triumph at all! Where are you all hiding? One MG Midget on the M6 and that’s it. Saw this lovely Citroen just before I set off, though:
