Iain T
I used an old bolt and wrapped tape around it until it was a tight fit. A 2lb hammer did the trick but don't wear your best overalls! Iain
AidanT Posted Saturday at 12:01 Author Report Share Posted Saturday at 12:01 (edited) Help and advice ice please. Trying to put in a new crank spigot Bush to my replacement engine but I can't get it past the flywheel! When I feel inside I can feel a lip behind the flywheel and the end of the crank. Is this normal? Can I just take the flywheel back off and fit the bush, or do I somehow have the wrong Bush (a canleys purchase) TIA Aidan Edited Saturday at 12:02 by AidanT

Yes, definitely a larger hole in the crank. In the back of my mind I was pretty sure, that when Mike Papworth fitted a clutch and rebuilt gearbox for me, he also fitted a new bush. The flywheel wasn't removed. Mind you, my brain is getting old!! Aidan
johny Posted Saturday at 13:08 Report Share Posted Saturday at 13:08 Strange but nothing for it but remove flywheel. Bush has to be good fit in crank...
