Spitfire Washer/Wiper switch

The switch on my Spitfire IV behaved oddly today, then failed.  After initially working, it then refused to turn to the right to turn on.  It did agree to turn to the left to come on, with the wipers parking wherever they were at the point I turned back to the off position.  Finally, I was left with no wipers.

I've just checked with Rimmers, whose website says no longer available, so does anyone have any ideas where I might get one - or have one to sell?

I am sure that I have seen a look alike unit of here quite some time ago. Probably from a different marque. Sorry but memory is going.

Have a ring round the breakers. Dave at the Spitfire Graveyard will at least be able to tell you if used ones really are hard to come by or not.

For new, this is listed under the Triumph part number.

If they're the same as the Herald 13/60 version you can buy a close copy but not the original, unless you're very lucky and find one.

They have one, still on a Spitfire, and are taking it off and shipping it to me.

If you ever get stuck again I found that mini ones are identical. All you need to do is bend the arm a bit as it’s at a tighter angle to the steering wheel. The best bit? About £30! Got mine from Mini Sport

Not to a Spitfire, unless it's a VERY late one. That style is correct for a Dolomite. Incidentally, the earlier Mini indicator stalk is very nearly correct for the unobtainable Toledo one - the only difference being the chrome cap.
