John Lay
The switch on my Spitfire IV behaved oddly today, then failed. After initially working, it then refused to turn to the right to turn on. It did agree to turn to the left to come on, with the wipers parking wherever they were at the point I turned back to the off position. Finally, I was left with no wipers. I've just checked with Rimmers, whose website says no longer available, so does anyone have any ideas where I might get one - or have one to sell? Thank you! Badwolf
I am sure that I have seen a look alike unit of here quite some time ago. Probably from a different marque. Sorry but memory is going. Edit. Found this link, but out of stock.. https://www.jamespaddock.co.uk/washer-pump-manual-wiper-switch-2-speed-2 But this is currently on fleabay (10/5/22) only single speed, but try messaging them... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185379027233?hash=item2b29737921:g:JSwAAOSwM7NiSIYN
Josef
Have a ring round the breakers. Dave at the Spitfire Graveyard will at least be able to tell you if used ones really are hard to come by or not.

Colin Lindsay
If they're the same as the Herald 13/60 version you can buy a close copy but not the original, unless you're very lucky and find one.
Neil Clark
Try Spitbitz in Woking. They have an enormous number of parts stripped from old Spits. http://www.spitbitz.co.uk

AlanT
If you ever get stuck again I found that mini ones are identical. All you need to do is bend the arm a bit as it’s at a tighter angle to the steering wheel. The best bit? About £30! Got mine from Mini Sport https://www.minisport.com/37h8285-steering-column-switch-mk3-early-lh-wiper-stalk-76-84.html

Not to a Spitfire, unless it's a VERY late one. That style is correct for a Dolomite. Incidentally, the earlier Mini indicator stalk is very nearly correct for the unobtainable Toledo one - the only difference being the chrome cap.
