  1. Hi, The fan spec looks like Chinese lies. How many amps does it take at 12 volts? probably 6 amps? Probably 60 watts. Find a Spal fan that fits. It will be more than 9 Amps though. Amps = faster cooling. Stoney Racing. it's in the name. Avoid.
  2. I have GT6, Spitfire & TR6 Haynes manuals.
  3. Hi James, The diff would be a 3.89 or a 3.63 or a 3.27. If you have a speed GPS app on your phone; Drive a constant speed like 60MPH for example and note RPM in 4th gear Without overdrive energised if fitted, Goto http://www.mintylamb.co.uk/gearspeed/ Input your rear tyre size. You can input one of the above ratio's or just select spitfire1500 or both GT6's. Match your engine RPM to speed and you have found your diff. If you cannot drive the car you will need to get under it If under it, look for rubber doughnuts or any CV's. Measure the rear track. Only useful if you have OEM wheels. The above information will confirm your rear end if it is Triumph. I don't think there is a quicker way? PS. You could use your car speedo, but it could be inaccurate or out of calibration. Tacos are normally pretty good. Nice with refried beans. RPM gauge is normally believable. 3.27 is my preferred diff for a spit2500. Best for the motorway. Cheers, Iain.

  5. Hi, Did not realise there were other posts to different rads. Sorry. I am referring to this one: eBay item number: 264648618839 All alloy one. Cheers, Iain.
  6. Hi, This radiator has no header tank. It would need an expansion vessel added to the system & then would be better than OEM.
  7. I would adjust the rear brakes again first off. Forget the handbrake method.

Love it. Do you want some front clear indicator lens? I have a few. Too many to mention. I think would look sweeter?

    I had one once.
  11. Last time I broke down when my homemade thermostat system broke down. I sat in the dark in a cul-de-sac waiting for the AA to transport me home. I was lucky enough to watch two young Lesbians doing their thing in the kitchen. If I had some baby oil I might have knocked on the window with my best smile. My cell phone was nearly flat hence no pictures, unfortunately. Just good memories from December 2018. But yes baby oil is a good hydraulic fluid. If it gets cold, sunflower is better. Always have phone power.
  12. AA & RAC membership. Tin of tyre weld. All the fluids. Bars leak. Euro first aid kit. Li ion power pack to start the engine, normally used for somebody else. Means to charge the phone. PS. CPS & TPS sensor. Fan belt. Panasonic Toughbook for ECU that is NOT left in the car.
  13. With a nice selection of wheels with ~30mm ET. Wheels stick in 10mm more than OEM.
  14. Looks like a ballast resistor. Is it a J-Type OD?
  15. What GT6 rear is it? What ratio diff? Cheers, Iain. PS Nice car. I like they have been able to use a spit bonnet.
  16. Here is one for the engine: http://www.tr6pi.com/TR6 workshop Manual.pdf
  17. Hi John, Nice idea. Had thought of mole-grips & a luggage scale. I am not going to bother now as the correct torque is what whatever it is I guess. When I get the car back I will try it and cut more off if I have to. Maybe I will keep a lookout for a weaker spring. Will give me a chance to try my homemade rocker cover gasket out. Cheers, Iain.
  18. Hi John, I don't have my car. Covid-19 & all that. It was a very strong spring. A quality spring best used elsewhere. When I used it a while ago, it did compress the valve springs so I could not rely on that function & just closed the gap and then counted the clicks. Should be OK now. I tried to measure the torque required now but my torque wrench does not go that low. Cheers, Iain.
  19. Hi, Tried junior hacksaw. would not cut. Dremmel works. One end off and still too tight. Other end off & now I can hold the screw end really tight and it clicks. Sorted. Endcap came off easy with a Stanley blade. Cheers, Iain Measurement after spring cut. Length before? No idea.
  20. Hi, Taking the "new" SPQR adjuster apart reveals the rather strong spring. I guess I cut a turn off? Cheers, Iain.
  21. & one thousand millimetres in a metre.
