  1. Hi, As I have no idea how to fit a float that monitors both tanks so I think I will mount two thru reservoir tank optical sensors? Cheap. negligible displacement of fluid in reservoir. I have seen some Triumph Toledo twin line systems with two Single Pole Change Over Contacts pressure switches mounted on the hydraulic lines and wired to illuminate a Warning light. A shame 100Bar pressure sensors are not cheap. No Rush as haven't seen my car for a year & a Half. Cheers, Iain.
  2. If you have a single system; Fit a level switch. Mine would have given me plenty of warning if I had wired it up. Bulkhead had to be modified to fit Tandem but need to figure out how to measure both levels as a warning as do not want a PDWA.
  3. Just imagine Covid & Labour in power. Truly the end of GB as we know it Thankfully just Covid.
  4. Hi, Single system is dangerous if you have a leak at any corner. Tandem is not. Simples. Ditch the single master cylinder. Cheers, Iain.
  5. I recently used a variably speed vehicle electric fan for the first time. It is designed for 24V trucks unfortunately. Rather large & the five pin connector is around 50 quid. Made by Spal. I suspect all EV cars have them. Never had a problem with mechanical fans. They were always replaced with electric. lol.
  6. I am going to upgrade the Spit with modern signalling: When below 50MPH & indicator stalk activated, brake lights will illuminate for a second and then the indicators will flash. Indicators controlled from steering angle would be a bonus. Only start flashing as I turn.
  7. Sad how we went from a society that cared much about shining a bright, but night safe colour to one that refuse to use a handbrake by choice. Handbrake & foot brake is fine until the car behind has come to a halt. I fantasise about automating my brake lights with modern algorithm's. Not too difficult to join the crowd. LOL. Stay safe. PS. 10 to 200Hz range should annoy.
  8. I got mine of AliExpress. About a quid each. 30 days max. I guess the engines have BSPP & BSPT threads?
  9. Hi, Are 3/8" BSPT Male x 1/8" NPT Females any use? I bought a few for oil pressure measurement so must fit somewhere in an oil galley? Maybe elsewhere? I have two for free issue.
  10. I hope the oil galleys on a six are 1/8NPT as just bought some expensive transmitters for data logging. I want the threads to match! LOL.
  11. I thought oil-pressure sender was 1/8 NPT?
  12. BSPP female for a BSPT thread? That does not sound right.

    20 50 or EP90

Other way round? PS. Now I see the chart; EP90 is indeed thicker at lower temperatures.
  14. I am glad you said Devil Fruit. Best left alone. It's indigestible skin & seeds. "The tomato plant has been demonstrated to have vitamin D-like activity. The activity was present in the leaves but not in the fruit of the plant." Vit D3 people can avoid as well. Or eat the leaf's?
  15. Glad it works. I never liked tomatoes but eat the seeded fruit. Thanks, now banned from house. I really loath spaghetti bolognaise. Long story but it scares me. Happy you are OK. Cheers, Iain.
  16. Hi Iain, here is a 1/4" BSP needle valve for flow control. eBay item number:363175360609 The one you have ordered might be OK, but was not designed for flow control just on/off. They are generally used on pressure transmitters.
  17. Hi Iain, The PDF was for a TSO valve. Very good for fitting inline to a fuel line to stop all flow, not to control. Better characteristic's out there. Cheers, Iain.
  18. Hi, The valve is meant for isolation. Tight ShutOff. TSO. The Trim AKA "Curve" might not be good to control flow, especially low differential pressure. It's quality and may well work on your application. I have spent more on things for the car that worked as intended but not as I wanted. R&D. I had thought of using a Mazda thermo-pellet
  19. Another pissing contest.
  20. Thanks. Curious to how much oil appears at the top when oil cold.
  21. Hi Iain, If you have the opportunity. I would like to see the oil flow at start-up in the morning? Was it spitting oil everywhere with the rocker box off? Cheers, Iain.
  22. Looking at the picture. On left into head. On right out of head.
  23. Hi, Chris Witor lists the galley plugs as BSP. Should be NPT?
