  1. Find the diameter of rod required. Find a friendly machinist. Sell them. 😀
  2. For serious grinding 110VAC AKA 50-0-55 grinders will fail before 230VAC ones. The standard angle grinder without speed control will rotate with AC or DC it does not care. Run it of your welding output if no mains available.
  3. Hi, For no more burnt out motors use Air. Cheers, Iain.
  4. A couple of years have passed since seen car. Went with smaller. Get back soon I hope.
  5. NOD from the past. I hope its updated. "Hail NOD and bend the knee". circ 1980's Superman 2. Respect. Best Superman!
  6. Is it sparking on run on or is it electrics dead run on?
  7. A127 is a good replacement. LUCAS brand is hardly a sign of quality.
  8. Last 30 years I have tried them all. Never needed to replace any brand but Champion are Kak. I know my car has BP6RES fitted. R because of ECU requirement. What year did Triumph stop using copper plug leads?
  9. Correct. You need to add extra components to allow to function as OEM Ignition bulb.
  10. Unless your LED has a parallel resistor for energising the alternator your cut in speed will be high.
  11. If fitting an Aluminium radiator, do isolate it from the chassis.
  12. If you have any type of points or other triggering technology. solid-state device. If its a cheap switching thing. Points will be higher powered when set correct. Those fit under the cap things are normally low powered. Some are variable dwell & allow a low ohm coil. Good low ohm coils are normally square shaped and laminated. Ballast wires/resistors waste energy. Go Green. Etc
  13. A 6V coil on a Six where you could give it 12 at high RPM's would bring back the lost energy?
  14. Hi Pete, Does resistance not reduce voltage? I would fit a 12v coil; easier to add aftermarket "ignition Modules".
  15. I do not believe that the levels of Ca or Zn have any influence on oil pressure. If that is what I thought you meant? I believe a lower group base oil at 20W50 will lose quality faster than a synthetic oil.
  16. At least 4 MOT stations never picked up that my nearside rear slave cylinder was seized. Having a Quaife ATB is the cause of the passes.
  17. Hi, Your experience of LED's. Should be your experience of assembled LED modules? Don't blame the LED's. A lot of DC & AC LED stuff out there though. A lot of sellers as well.
  18. They last much longer than the metal spring things burning in a non perfect atmosphere.
  19. Hi, The most elegant way to have a single LED act as the cabin repeater is to fit a bridge rectifier. No extra wires or grounds needed. i opted for two cabin LED's- Left/Right. I had to ground the cathodes. Cheers, Iain.
