  1. You could consider UHU glue . Looks and smells like the original Evostick . I buy this from Poundland at £1 per tube . The tube is multi language so guessing it might not comply with local H & S regs . Tried in on several jobs and works fine , could even get high on the fumes if I was that inclined Paul
  2. POR 15 is a marmite product , for me it’s done me well and used in the engine bay and ancillaries. Paul
  3. You could use the POR 15 kit and line the tank . I did mine 3 years ago , so far so good . Paul
  4. In the late 60’s I purchased a SAH rear spring which was shorter and gave negative camber to my herald Paul
  5. Greener fuel ( extract from BBC News) A more eco-friendly petrol could be introduced to garages in the UK from next year. The government is consulting on making E10 - which contains less carbon and more ethanol than fuels currently on sale - the new standard grade. The Department for Transport says it could cut CO2 emissions by 750,000 tonnes per year, but E10 is not compatible with some older vehicles. Paul
  6. I bought the air vent assembly which fits under the dash for my vitesse (2 units ) from Canleys for £15 plus p and p Paul

  11. Could the PO have used Wellseal or similar . I used Wellseal on the fuel bowl gaskets as the fuel bowl wasn’t flat and prior to sealant they leaked . The Wellseal has reacted to the petrol contact and looks dark brown and tacky though dry to the touch . Just a thought Paul
  12. Aldi Special car jack lasted and outperformed the SGS equivalent , just bought another and dump the SGS which is leaking https://www.aldi.co.uk/car-jack/p/099254314455200 Paul

Dynax is not designed to be layered but if you let it set leaving a few days between applications it should buildup , at the very least Dynax will stop further corrosion Paul Thinking outside the box you could use a rust remover like Bilthamber Deox-Gel. And then paint on PVA glue in layers waiting for each layer to dry throughly before the next layer . Assuming the PVA will adhere to the metal this will give some strength so you could fill the cracks from the outside . Finally give the PVA a coating of Dynax . PVA is cheap as chips . I haven’t tried this but a test on waste metal might be worth it as an interim fix . PVA glue starts off white and goes transparent when cured , apply in thin layers sorry gave you the wrong link for PVA here it is https://www.toolstation.com/interior-exterior-pva-wood-glue/p22271 Paul

Hi Paula you could use a product like Bilthamber Dynax , you get a “Lance” so it’s easy to spray into difficult to access areas , this would stop the corrosion spreading Paul
  16. Check out Dynax -uc from Bilthamber , it’s clear . Paul
  17. Hi Richard . I purchased one from Aldi think it was about £15 , it was very useful in measuring temp of rear drums which were binding , safer than burning my fingers 😱😱 Paul

  21. Hi Pete I have graphite dust , purchased from Fleabay from China some time ago for little money, pre coronavirus, so all good Paul
  22. Hi Pete , in November I closed the top vent of garage window , when I checked in late Jan there was mould on the walls 😫. I had effectively stopped the airflow and increased the moisture levels which contributed to the issues . Another lesson learnt the hard way . To lubricate the cables , take off and lubricate ? Paul
