The TR Register had their annual Shine and Show Night at The Cock, Broom yesterday evening. All classic cars were invited and attendance surpassed expectations. TSSC members were recognised in the beer and burger queues.
Seems to be a Japanese trait. I loved my Mazda MX-5's but hated the rust which began to appear on the underbody and suspension within months of leaving the showroom.
You can never have too many tyraps, although my purist mechanic objects to seeing them on a classic car. Anyway, I can't complain having taken home a prize or three from the Area raffles.
It was really hot, we deserted the car and took our chairs into the shade under the boundary trees only to be plagued by storm flies. At least I apparently won the raffle - a flight in a light aircraft.
The "active ingredient" in Coca Cola is phosphoric acid. I believe. You may find you already have phosphoric acid in your garage supplies as it is a great de-ruster and is often used in proprietary rust removers.
