  1. I wouldn't bother with "thick fit" Jeff, bunch of morons who haven't a clue Try and find a local tyre bay, small place. You will get proper advice from them not how much they can empty your wallet by.... Tony.
  2. Did the same thing Pete, perfect ever since. Tony.
  3. Correct Rob, many accidents were caused by the fuel pouring out onto the nsr wheel..... lethal when raining. It was mainly caused by a non standard fuel cap being used, but Austin Rover moved the filler neck higher up the body. Tony.
  4. I must have had the same cap Pete.... Absolutely p*ssed out when cornering. Tony.
  5. I use a piece of dpc to stop the paint getting scratched Colin. Tony.
  6. Have you ever thought of taking it to a garage Jeff?...... Only joking mate you are nearly there, up for a laugh and having a go yourself I take my hat off to you sir... Tony.

I have two as well, as good as the C-Tech. Tony.
  8. Have you lubricated the linkages and cam that it operates on Woody? Sometimes that makes them stiff... Tony.
  9. Also starting the car now and again is an engine killer Euan, unless you are giving it a 10 mile run leave it alone and just charge the battery. Tony.
  10. It just looked a bit murky the photo Paul, so it would be a bit difficult. Tony.
  11. Due mine on Friday....Hope you feel better tomorrow Jeff. Tony.
  12. Dangerous if the wifes about Pete. Tony,
  13. I just use gravity Paul and when clean fluid comes through tighten up the bleed nipple. Tony.
  14. Back in my rallying days in the 70's it was either Koni, Bilstein or Boge that was used by the top crews, not an adjustable in sight. They are just to hard and as soon as you hit a bump in the road in the wet you were in the scenery. Ok for tarmac circuit but not for our potholed roads. Tony.
  15. It's a shame Lucas didn't copy Bosch with their distributors and have a mark on the body where the rotor pointed to, no marking up no hassle. If ever i take a dizzy out i mark it with a small chisel. Tony.
  16. Just a thought, is it the inner or outer cable that has gone? If you are lucky you might get away with putting the inner in and keeping the light as Mjit mentioned above and fit the knob Colin found Tony.
  17. I think in the early 80's Pete. I think its one of those things that if they are fitted they must work. If the windscreen will open it doesn't matter either way. Tony.
  18. That one looks a lot better Colin. I can't find a descent pic of one. The Stag one is mega bucks as it's a double Tony.
  19. Plus one for those Pete, they work really well but do look better if you can find a hex grub screw instead of the bolt. Tony.
  20. Depends if it's a daily driver Euan? I only replace the battery if it packs up, but i do look after them. I have 3 Triumphs and to date not replaced a battery. I would see what deals are are on fleabay and go for a descent warranty. my 2500s only has a 38ah battery on (015) and it was on the car when i bought it 6years ago. Tony.
  21. Same knob as the Stag Colin, the aftermarket ones just don't look right. It's too cold to go out and photo of my knob. Tony.
  22. They have a pull knob that matches the other switches Colin. Tony.
  23. Asda shower gel bottle to keep elephants away? Tony.
  24. It's the practice he get's Chris, trying to spot Elephants in Asda..... Tony.
