Probably 3 levels of acceptability: 1. Quick shrug of shoulders : All ok 2. Long shrug of shoulders : OK, but at the limit 3. Long shrug of shoulders & forearms extended with palms of hands facing up: Putain!

Saw them perform last century. It was after their hit Pictures of Matchstick men. I used to go to a pub on the Fulham Road in London at the weekends, free group but expensive and terrible beer! The regulars were all rock/ heavy metal fans, so there was a collective groan when they were announced. After their first number the response was much better! A 'bad' group weren't booed, there was just a couple of seconds silence at the end of a number then the chattering started up . .

At least that way you get to have an intelligent conversation. πŸ€ͺ
  6. I put a piece of carpet or similar on the floor, also reduces the bounce effect πŸ₯΄
  7. An excellent tip, I'm pretty sure I have a couple missing on my Herald out of the 4 πŸ‘
  8. Yes indeed. No and that is the problem. I was in Bagnoles de L'Orne having taken Madame there for her annual 3 week cure thermal. This year she has gone alone to get away from me, oh and leave me to redecorate her space πŸ˜– Back home now with tea & cigar, strong drink(s) later
  9. My too when on my pad, just from time to time. Fat fingers on small screen!
  10. I joined his forum after I bought my Herald, the reasons were simple - help, advice and background information. All of which I got and still continue to get. I do look at threads that aren't necessarily Herald based if I think they might add to my knowledge. In addition to my reasons for joining I get the 'free extras', humour, social interaction and even the risky topics of politics and religion. Ok, so just very occasionally there is a bit of 'unpleasantness' a small price to pay. What to ban? Difficult to decide and varies from person to person. I would say leave it all in and let the reader pick what to look at and what to skip. As for the ranking system, well having a newbie title for a while does give others a warning that the poster might need a simpler explanation or additional info to a more experienced owner. The number of posts and other titles? A bit of fun and about as serious as astrology. Hang on, we don't have that as a sub section. " This week the stars warn us that Heralds first registered in July will have an encounter with a breakdown recovery vehicle. On the other hand GT6s with the same star sign will give out a warm feeling to their drivers".
  11. I hadn't noticed you were away. Next time can you give me 24 hours warning so I can make the most of ? 😁
  12. Quite right, I also forgot to say that I had to remove the heater valve and blast through the matrix, in both directions to clear out all the crud, a hosepipe is a good fit. The valve was completely blocked with scale/crud so even though the mechanism looked to working from the outside nothing could flow through it.
  13. Obvious question, have you checked that the ducting is connected and the flap directing the airflow is working? The fan is, shall we say, less effective than a modern one. Many owners do replace the innards. I only use my Herald in summer but if I use the fan it does makes difference, l have it set to blow hot air to my feet it then rises and will warm pecans my hands on a chilly day. This is in a convertible with the roof down. Make sure the coolant is circulating properly, no pipes blocked and the heater valve works.
  14. Weer nut vury gud wi wurds an Kan Reed picture bettur πŸ€ͺ
  15. Yes, too busy on this forum😁
  16. I live in one of those : Le Perche
  17. Bag? mine has/had a piece of fabric that I thought might just be to help pull the foam into place. The fabric is so rotten, ripped, coming off I can't be sure. Mine also have side pieces, they are needed as the seat cover is shaped not flat. Could it be you are getting a mix of photos of earlier Herald seats/foams and 13/60 ones?
  18. Just had a look at R***** Bros and it looks to be a complete piece, maybe 2 glued together? to form an 'L' where the short piece goes over the top bar.
  19. Don't know myself. 1/3? far more than was missing/disintegrated on mine. I added a piece at the top to protect/cover the top metal support/frame bar. Check out the seat foam kits offered by the usual suppliers and see if you can tell from their photos?
  20. Not necessarily, depends what you use to clear them. I have a programme on my machine which allows you mark cookies that you want to keep, the rest get dumped. I have marked as keepers this forum, for example, and all the other sites I use regularly. It is a pain when you go to a site which you will probably never use again and have to tick 'the box'. I have noticed recently that some sites do have an option to continue without accepting cookies. You have to look carefully as it isn't as obvious as the boxes they want you to tick. Long live dinosaurs!
  21. That is better than your last posting in the Joke section ! πŸ˜‰
