Paul H
No discernible click . I think it’s the wiring under the gearbox cover which has just been put back after new clutch slave . Before if take off the cover again tested the fuse which is a blade and only feeds the overdrive . That’s ok next is to check the output of the relay which is the original style . Not sure which one is the feed to the terminal in and terminal out and lastly terminal switch . The pic shows the wiring .

johny
Have you tightened your gearbox nuts while it was off or is just mine that seem to loosen off?

Don't know?, though after you mentioned this before, I always check if I'm in there, and so far fine

As aprentices we where told never to re-use spring washers, having once put under compression they never act properly again. The Maintenance shop had a huge bucket of them under a bench. The same with locking nuts, once removed they where never reused, at least on the job. Some found there way onto other (govy) jobs but not the plant machinery. Pete Lewis
with all the torque testing we did on truck production we found spring washers were a waste of time and they were dropped from all specifications back in the mid 70s replaced with plain washer and plain nut was the most reliable many locking nuts were also dropped Pete
johny
Glad youve justified my laziness in not replacing the old spring washers with new ones Pete😁

Beware lots of current new spring washers are Chinese rubbish and break on tightening. The older wide wire ones as used by Triumph appear OK. Colin Lindsay
Back in the day, for some strange unknown reason I bought an entire board of little packets of assorted spring washers marked 1 / - each, must have been 40 of them, cost me £5 or so the lot. Still using them!
Wagger
If you change to thinner washers, check blind holes for depth. Bolts can appear tight when they are not, and threads get stripped. Bolts differ in length too so replace one at a time.
