Andrew
Hello guys and girls. It is time to renew my hoses on my 1360. Are silicon hoses worth the money. regards Andrew
dougbgt6
Hi Andrew, Depends how long you're gonna keep the car. They certainly last longer, but how much longer will you last? I went for standard and they still look OK after 7 years. However I could be tempted by some nice yellow silicone. Doug

Doug As far as I’m aware the only silicone colour the club shop has is black Paul

One I bought recently had the consistency of a party balloon, and lasted about a day, but it was my fault, in my hurry to get one I bought literally the first I found online and forgot to check the materials. Nigel Clark
I fitted silicone hoses to both my Triumphs more than 10 years ago, using quality stainless clips. They still look good.... Good enough for another 10 years or more! As has been said, if you're planning to keep your classic long term, silicone hoses are well worth the money. Andrew
I intend to keep my car as it was one of the last of the production line. It is completely standard and I want to keep it that way. I will visit the club shop and invest in a set of silicone hoses Andrew
