Do those gloves work?

Yeh, to an extent, it's my forefinger and thumb knuckles that get a dull ache. With the gloves on, not so much, or even goes away. And they're compressive so you're protected from knocks and jarring. They're washable, thinking of getting a second pair.

How do you do barre chords with those on?

Not as easy as without, but easier than I thought.

You don't know how difficult it was to take this selfie! My other hand was where your eyes are now and I couldn't see the screen or the GO button!

Never got on with Uke's, Banjo's or Mandolins. However, I capo my 12 string way up and picking it is a good mandolin substitute. Will try the finger mitts one day as I can only play for abiut 2 mins at a time before cramp sets in. Then the fingers try to fold to the back of the hand. Now trying to strum left handed without finding a 'Lefty'. Retuning almost works.

Nothing quite as wonderful as heater on, gloves, scarf, topless motoring on a dry Winter’s day. How else do you get a Christmas tree home?
Genuinely, I love it. It’s such a treat.
