Unidentified wheel nuts and covers - Triumph?

I would pursue the mini connection. I had a quick look, dome end nuts are one of the type sold by the specialists. The covers look like the sort of think BL would have used...

These are open both ends so not strictly domed, if I understand the name correctly. One end is circular and curved / domed so that's the end that fits into the wheel; the other is flat but six-sided and threaded right through. I must try them on a Herald stud to see if they're the same size and thread.

by domed I meant the "business" end. A bit unusual which is why I thought mini. They do look OE quality.

Trying to think of something else 1980s (that is what the funny plastic covers look) that may have had the same 3/8 thread. BL stable, so Ital?

I had assumed you had checked the threads, but then again you would have noticed if they were m12 threads...

(Pete, they are domed ends, not 60 degree which helps narrow it all down a lot)

And to confirm round chamfer

Seem to be ridiculously expensive. But it may be difficult finding anybody who actually wants them on their car. Seems to be chrome hubcap retro wheels or alloys with the mini peeps.

But open wheel nuts are good in my book. You can see if there is enough thread engagement, and they won't bottom out either.

That's as close as I've seen so far. Sadly all my searches are spoiled by results for modern Minis, or else wildly alternative wheels and trims, not originals. "Why do you want to fit those boring things, I've got Carlos Fandango Super Wide Wheels" etc yawn yawn. 💤

My sister-in-law had a brown Clubman, I don't remember ever working on the wheels but did replace her car radio, with the result that the first time she switched it on, the car ground to a halt on the road. Oops....
