    Strange number

Just remember when sanding the veneer is thin and easily sanded through. Regards Paul.
  3. Pump grease in before refitting the shaft, I once fitted an inner seal, correct way around, which was pushed out of the trunnion housing by the grease. One from a different supplier solved the problem. Regards Paul.
  4. Only straight one I can think of is manifold to return pipe from the union at back of inlet manifold. Regards Paul.
  5. Was placing an order with James Paddock, for my Vitesse, so ordered a couple of 5L Dynolite 20/60 at £27.00 each. Very well packed and very reasonable delivery cost, I do about 2,500 miles in the Vitesse each year so two years of oil changes unless I cock something up like my water in oil earlier this year. Regards Paul.

    Fuel Economy.

When I set the moderns display to MPG and set the cruise control I was surprised by how small a hill was required to make a large difference to the consumption, and accelerating out of roundabouts could get down to single figures. Regards Paul

I have fitted a big magnet to the front of my car, but with more plastic being used in vehicles these days do not find as usful. Regards Paul.
  8. As above both, seals should be fitted with lips towards differential, I always pump grease in untill clean grease comes out of the inner seal when lubricating the rear bearings. If you have grease coming out in the brake drum the outer seal is faulty or fitted the wrong way around. Regards Paul.
  9. Were the drivers ear plugs a necessity?. Regards Paul
  10. It could also be damaging the drive shaft. Regards Paul.
  11. If not mentioned the speedo gear might need changing to match your car. Regards Paul.

    K&N Filters

My Vitesse air box has drilled holes in the bottom, rain water drain?, over the exhaust, so is the engine drawing air from the front or bottom of the airbox?. Its how Triumph designed it. Regards. Paul.
  15. That assumes same age of washer. Regards. Paul.
  16. Just back from a two week walking holiday in Portugal, first booked for 2020 and decided to do a Covid test, first positive one I've had, so take all precautions. Regards Paul
  17. Correct, thats where the bits came from, many sizes available to match your air filter box. Got a bit carried away with stainless bits during covid lock downs. Regards. Paul.
  18. Had a similar problem with my 2L Vitesse early in January, following advice on here turned out to be water leaking from rocker cover studs. Tested by removing rocker studs and gently applying air from my compressor to radiator overflow pipe, radiator cap on, got quite a fountain. Changed oil and filter and remaining coolant in oil soon evaporated as engine warmed up. Best of luck with your problem. Regards. Paul.
