I suspect it cost substantially more than the asking price to restore.
Dick Twitchen
IIRC Mark Field of ex-Jigsaw Racing did much of the restoration.
mark powell
I saved an old article from a motoring mag some years ago. It included a photo of a (the?) coupe. However it appears to show both rear windows to be the same shape? I thought the N/S was different to see which suited the design. Ignore the subject of the article. mark powell
It also appears to have the later 13/60 / Vitesse bonnet,. Was there another coupe?
mark powell
Enlarged photo, hopefully.
PeteH
SWMBO, thinks it look`s nice, why did it get sidelined?. I don`t think she was as impressed with the asking price though?😁. Swapping for the later 13/60 bonnet would not be a hard job. I think I`d have gone for the Vitesse Bonnet though?. Pete
Colin Lindsay
Totally unique car, like the TR7 Estate, and a great piece of Triumph motoring history. Nice to see it's not permanently in a museum but still out and about.

What magazine was it in - the file title of your pic. suggest 'cutomstreet' or similar from July 84. Many thanks - Chris

Chris Longhurst
There was a write-up of the Hatchback prototype in Triumph World Feb./Mar. 2019 pp32-36. There was poor photo. of the original car which I have attached for information. Chris
NonMember
I'm not entirely convinced by the styling of the real thing, but that after-market conversion definitely does NOT suit the car.

"Creativity" went out with the corporate desire for "bottom line". The vast majority of moderns are merely clones. Pete
