Can someone please advise me as to how I can remove the upper ball joint assembly from the vertical link which I've now removed from the car? Any advice will be gratefully received. On to the interweb and found a picture. "God damn it I've got one of those!" Into the garage and there it was at the front of the drawer. Doh! I gave up on a Herald one recently after ratchet straps, all sorts of compressors and finally me standing on it failed to give the necessary friction and it just spun round and round... daverclasper Posted April 27, 2017 Report Share Posted April 27, 2017 Hi One method I've used a few times with success, is to use the screw/jaw type ones (pictured above) and when joint under tension strike the side (hole/arm) with a hammer.
