Adrian Saunders
Has anyone used a fuel preservative, successfully, over at least a six month period?
Dick Twitchen
Very common in the boating environment. My experience is I put a fuel preservative in my yacht's 4-stroke outboard fuel tank (25l) about March and because wind power is the prime mover very little used. After the boat is out of water, fuel into the GT6 and no problems.
Pete Lewis
ive had a triumph since 2003 and over winter with less use than normal never had any trouble with fuel supposedly 'going off' doesnt matter where or when pull choke and fire her up it may have lost some sparkle but never non starter . my view is fuel gets the blame for other offending faults that dont like lack of use pete

However, on several occasions have had to use a slave battery to start a laid up car and on the current GT6 the clutch stuck to the flywheel over the first winter we had her. Chris A
Same as the two above. My 13/60 gets very little use over winter, I don't take any special measures about the petrol and haven't had any problems.
johny
considering the 1950s technology of my Triumph I think it would run on cooking oil let alone 'stale' petrol🤣
dougbgt6
Agree with all! Mine goes into the garage Oct/Nov comes out Mar/April never a problem starting. It was off the road for almost 20 years, but I used to start it up periodically, same tank of fuel, but that might have been last of the good stuff. Pete Lewis
pleased im not alone , whilst fuel can loose some characteristics over time its a myth invented by the need for sales of snake oil and lead pellets and additives pete
