  1. Hi, I thought the BSP Threads were BSPP or BSPT? Cheers, Iain. PS. Good job, I did the same & plugged with a brass 1/4 BSPT. Next time it's out I will be adding a small High temperature magnet to it.
  2. Modern LiPo4 are able to be discharged below zero C. It is prohibited to charge below 0 C.
  3. Hi, Car batteries internal resistance increases as temperature drops so that less current is available. The batteries Energy remains constant. I have heard it recommended to try to pull some Amps thru the battery prior to starting to "warm" the battery up. Makes sense. Cheers, Iain.
  4. Hi, Never understood what soda crystals were supposed to do to internals of a car coolant system? Anyone care to explain? Cheers, Iain.
  5. Hi, A light bulb is just as efficient as a heating element; a 120 Watt bulb will produce the same "heat" as a 120 watt windscreen demister. No difference between a pure resistance and a lamp. Resistor or lamp makes no difference, but lamp is cheaper and readily available. Two H4's would be 60W + 55W * 2 = 230Watts. Just saying. Iain. PS. Do not let the light out or you will lose some of the "heat". Edit: Lamp will not burn out if no flow unlike resistor. (bulb holder must be able to handle heat generation of course)
  6. Hi, I thought this was one: https://www.wilwood.com/mastercylinders/mastercylinderprod?itemno=260-11179 Up to a constant 57% reduction on rears? Cheers, Iain.

Hi, "Drillings are complete borrocks" Wrong & incorrect. Fitted to my 206CC & now when I brake in the rain at motorway speeds my car slows down as intended. "Slots are complete borrocks." Wrong & incorrect. I have 10mm thick Disks fitted to my Spit6. They are 1mm deep. Would be foolish not to have them in my case. Iain.
  8. I bought an uprated GT6 set from the USA. Appear to last along time as still good after 6 years. Local ones seem to be kak.
  9. A non ratchet crimping tool is junk. So there. Iain.
  10. Hi, Copper?? No good for modern Fuel, GL5 or modern antifreeze. Why do they sell this junk! LOL

I see no 20W50. No wonder the engines did not last long. LOL. What is a "modern material" What difference to the Triumphs of the day? What difference in clearance. How much difference? Cheers, Iain.
  12. Hi, "I know that the 3.27:1 version is best avoided as it is fragile." I have a 3:27 & it's lasted longer than all the 3:63's that broke. Use the 3:63 then. Enjoy motorway cruising at higher RPM's. I hope you have an OD? Cheers, Iain.
  13. It's a fact. Faster is better. "water flow through the rad/engine too fast so not removing as much heat as possible?" You really think that? LOL.
  14. Hi, If the new pump flow rate is improved it will increase "Cooling". For any car Water Pump maximum cooling will happen when the flow rate/RPM is at the point before cavitation occurs. cheers, Iain.
  15. Better to use a DC clamp meter. Or measure mV drop on supply cable/
  16. Radio tuned to AM around 150Kc's to 300Kc's AKA LW will click when solenoid stops drawing current. In ye olden days I would switch my radio to LW & listen for clicks.
  17. Hi Pete, Most excellent website & read for a Sunday. Thanks, Iain.
  18. use a PIC chip/IC cheaper than a NE555! Program with ladder.
  19. Hi Pete, I believe you are wrong in your assumption. It does not function as you believe it does. When you understand how it functions, please let me know. Sincerely, Iain.
  20. Hi Pete, My understanding of the PDWA is different. The PDWA activates a contact & that is it. It's a Warning Actuator only. Cheers, Iain.
