  7. Check out Buckeye https://www.buckeyetriumphs.org/carburetors They mention 175’s but the instructions are the same for your 150 Paul
  8. I would give the other plugs a good test and a prod, don’t forget the one that’s only accessible by removing the gearbox cover . How do I know that , yes got the T Shirt 😱 Paul
  9. Only problem I had with POR15 was air bubbles , not sure what I did wrong Paul
  10. Just moved onto Mintex 1144 on my Vitesse . What a difference they make . The old pads were cheapies and now consigned to the bin . The Mintex are comparatively expensive but worth every penny Paul
  11. Im a big fan of POR15 But wouldn’t risk it on a chassis . For a chassis I use Bilthamber Electrox which is high zinc, then a top coating of your choice Paul
  12. I used this Felt Support from Screwfix https://www.screwfix.com/p/felt-support-tray-1-5m-5-pack/36622 From memory it was made in 2 sections . The break being the Steering wheel . The felt support is plastic which can be cut n trimmed with strong scissors or a jig saw . The trays have a preformed bend which I screwed to the bulkhead . The trays are flexible and was able to bend them to stay under the dash without permanent fixing . I used the old mill board as a template . There are 5 support trays to a pack . My car is a Vitesse mk2 Paul
  13. My highly polished refurbished CDSE’s came with jet height variance of 15 tho and a bent jet Paul
  14. With CDSE’s you will need to check the jet heights are set correctly and are not bent . Paul
  15. You could try https://www.bilthamber.com/corrosion-protection-and-rust-treatments/electrox I use it , very pleased and it goes on thick Paul
  16. I had similar with my Mk2 Vitesse . Turned out that the rotor arm was catching the Accuspark electronic unit . Changed to the correct red rotor arm and problem fixed . Have you tried traditional points to see if this cures your problem ? Paul
  17. That’s my experience as well , purchased from the club shop . Fitted with standard spacer but left off the shim spacer . Mk2 Vitesse Paul
  18. Don’t have that issue with my D box . The initial problem I had a week after the box was done was I couldn’t get into 4th gear so had to use 3 + overdrive . They sorted the issue but fobbed me off with the reason other than it wouldn’t happen again . I didn’t push them as it was the week Clive died. Paul
  19. Hi Pete is it a gear box / od out to sort ? Paul
  20. Advice please , my Vitesse od gearbox was rebuilt by Manvers Triumph 4 years ago. The company is no longer in business as Clive Manvers has died Works as it should BUT don’t go from 3rd to 2nd anything above 20mph unless you want to hear a crunch. Would double de clutching help ? what’s the reasoning behind ? Paul
  21. New Sills ready for trial fit The holes don’t line up so added masking tape to protect new paint and show where the holes in the body shell should be. The front and rear don’t line up . The rear shows a step The front is way out and only one securing point available . Previous sill had filler added everywhere to “hide” the gaps . Are these gaps normal ? New sills are NOS with the 4 securing straps having elongated securing holes . The previous ones were not Paul
  22. Found the original post on Herald seat conversion from 2015 Paul
  23. Both Pete’s and mine are saloons , the Mgf seat bases need minor surgery and sit on 2 rails which then fit into the existing holes . Easy fit in a day Paul
