  7. With the weather nicely warming up it was time to spray the Vitesse door with 2 coats of 2k Epoxy primer surfacer using my new gun which for a cheapie I was well impressed with the result . Purchased from Spray Guns Direct with 1.8 tip and a 2.0 . I used the 1.8 for this job. https://www.spraygunsdirect.co.uk/index.php/a-n-i-f1-ns-budget-gravity-spraygun.html#sthash.L5gbjzk6.dpbs Spraying is completely new to me as well as body filling and it’s been a time consuming baptism of fire , this being the first time I’m satisfied with the result The door needs to cure overnight and ready for next sanding session tomorrow I can recommend the gun and the HB Body 989 Epoxy system Paul

  12. Here’s a pic of the adjustment nut on the front section of the quarterlight . There’s about 20mm adjustment though whether the nut will slide is debatable due to rust . This nut does move now but too some persuasion to start . The sticking point is the curve in the channel Paul

  21. Just noticed this on Facebook , Rarebits “ I've finally pushed forward with a product I have been planning for some time. Windscreen seals for the Triumph Herald 948 Saloon and Courier Van have been unavailable for some years. This is the simple fluted design which does not use a shiny filler strip. I have provisional pricing on producing tooling for these to be extruded in high quality EPDM. The material will match what has been used in recent years for my Herald Coupe windscreen and Herald Estate side window seals. These will be supplied as a cut length of 3.2metres,to be trimmed for exact fit on installation. Price is estimated at £50 per seal, plus carriage. If you have a need for one of these, please add a reply to this message so that I can gauge interest in producing a small run of these.” Paul
