ShaunW
Winter's coming and the Spit has got to stand outside in it. Can anyone recommend a really good quality, tailored, full cover that will keep her snug and dry? I'd bought one of those half covers to see me through summer but it's a terrible fit and the wind gets under it. It's ok if you want quick protection from heavy rain but pretty hopeless as a solution for winter.

ShaunW
6 hours ago, Dick Twitchen said: The Club shop sells them. I'm sure they do Dick, many people do. But those just seem to be generic covers in standard sizes rather than actually tailored and although I'm sure they're adequant, they don't appear to be an especially premium item compared to others I've seen. I'm looking for the following features ideally: fleece lined. 3 or 4 layer. plasitic retaining buckles for straps under the car. elasticated edges. nice tight tailored fit (not just fitting where it touches). long term durability. high wind speed rating. vents to release moisture. security features. storage bag. ** subdued colour (black/navy) not garish bird-scarer silver.** ... that sort of thing. Chris A
I bought one from Hamilton Classic, it meets most of your requirements except : colour & no vents. What I would say is that the seams don't last that well, I have glued most of them over the last 2 years as they split in some areas. If I were to buy another I would immediately turn it inside out and glue all the seems from the inside. I can't fully recommend this one then but worth a look. AndyTV8
i have used the Hamilton outdoor cover in the past on my old Stag, worked very well, at the time it was my daily driver. After checking prices, i purchased from the Club shop because it was cheaper at the time. I now have the half-cover for the TR, same material, just a bit smaller! ........ daverclasper
My Goodness. That's a very long list for a "car cover". Car covers are apparently better if there is some air allowed to travel between body and cover. Makes sense, as non are apparently 100% condensation proof. Cheers, Dave

Gully
I kept my GT6 under a car cover under the car port the first winter I had it - drew out the micro blistering beautifully! Not used it since... Gully
