  1. Could be a link for me as I had bought one from this seller 😱 Paul
  2. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303032562097 Paul
  3. Unless the Club Shop have a different supplier , their hazard kit is not a good buy in my opinion, The relay went on mine and then the red plastic reflector wouldn’t stay on due to poor threads which in turn meant the bulb pings out into the car, never to be found again. The club did replace the relay but couldn’t return the rest as I trimmed the wiring . There are others on EBay different style which are low £20’s which work better plus the wiring is much easier to fit though doesn’t look as Classic . My views are known to the Club. Paul
  4. Another vote for Silentcoat , I used 2mm it’s surprising heavy , if the surface has been degreased silentcoat will stick . I used a heat gun to warm up the coat which helps with moulding round contours etc . A wall paper roller (2ins) is good for getting the silent coat to adhere to tight corners . I used silentcoat for the boot floor , cabin, bulkhead , doors , gearbox cover in my Vitesse Paul
  5. I don’t know any downsides apart from originality . Upgrades which improve reliability are ok in my book . I still have the bendix starter and will keep it . Paul
  6. If budget allows upgrade to a Hi Torque Starter . Worked for me for my Vitesse and the difference was very noticeable and never looked back . Available from the Club Shop Paul
  7. Yes agree and appealed to EBay and I lost 😨 Paul nb I had the last laugh as it’s now worth twice the price
  8. You can change your mind on an EBay Purchase . I sold a Vitesse petrol tank on EBay and the buyer didn’t collect for a month when I chased him he changed his mind and I had to refund. Paul
  9. I accessed the front plug after removing the gearbox cover in my Vitesse . I was replacing the slave cylinder when I noticed the plug was leaking . If you chisel with an old screwdriver from the middle to the side then chisel like a can opener the plug will eventually buckle enabling it to be prised out Paul
  10. I have Gaz rear shockers on my Vitesse and they are set on 2 . Scale is 1 to 10 . They were initially set to 4 then saw my 10 year old grand daughter bouncing about in the rear seat 😱 Paul
  11. Hi Adrian, what is the maker of the Viva Sunroof? Paul
  12. Yes I do have one . My son is interested in one for his MGBGT Paul
  13. Found this USA website for Sunroofs Sliding Rag Tops, lots of info including detailed fitting instructions . I’m interested in purchasing a sunroof if anybody has one for sale Paul

  15. Not sure what thickness I used as away from the Vitesse think it was 2mm Paul
  16. I did the interior of my Vitesse . All the floor space plus bulkhead where available and practical . With the benefit of hindsite and more research I could have saved up to 50% Paul
  17. Welcome to the forum , lots of help here . Can we see some pics Paul
  18. Silentcoat from Amazon or EBay , cut shape with scissors and heat with hot air gun . I used a wallpaper seam roller to smooth the silentcoat into the contours of the body Paul
  19. A word of caution on Dynamator , an alternator in a Dynamo case . My one lasted 2 weeks before it failed . Apparently they get hot and can over heat . I did get a replacement which I sold on eBay Paul
  20. I used draught excluder from Lidl about £3 for 5 metres . Agree the Club Shop one is not worth the monies Paul
