  2. Re radiator caps - are they all the same depth when screwed on - I purchased a spare but it doesnt fit as the internal depth is shorter due to a wider diameter internal base plate - hope this makes sense - I can bend the sealing lips but with twisting it jumps off the radiator lip Lastly looking at the Fahr - they look good though dont understand why you would need to release the pressure Paul

  25. Halfords product recalled over concerns it could explode and cause injury PRODUCT RECALL: Halfords has recalled a batch of specialist primer over concerns that the containers could explode and cause injury. HALFORDS has recalled a batch of specialist primer over concerns that the containers could explode and cause injury. The retailer said customers who had bought the Halfords Weld Through Primer, which carries the item code 370426, should not handle the product and arrange for it to be collected. A total of 120 units from a batch manufactured in January last year have been found to be contaminated during the filling process, and have since over-pressurised, Halfords said. The cans could rupture and "propel the empty can at high speed", which could cause injury. There has been one reported incident involving the product. The product is a specialist primer designed for preparing repairs that are to be welded. Halfords said it had sold approximately 4,200 containers of the primer since September 2015. A spokeswoman said: "As a precautionary measure and to ensure consumer safety, Halfords has removed this product from sale and is recalling all unsold units with immediate effect. "Customers are urged not to handle this product, and are asked to contact the manufacturer, James Briggs Ltd, on 0161 393 3100 for advice on collection or email recall@jamesbriggs.co.uk.
