  1. Yes I have claimed and no issues . It was with a Mondeo . The battery was supplied and fitted by the garage with a 3 year warranty, the battery failed at 2 yrs 10 months Paul
  2. I always put the battery receipt in a polythene bag and leave behind the battery Paul
  3. I have a Vitesse mk2 and converted from Armstrong side shockers by adding vertical links and shockers , I purchased the kit from the TSSC shop . The shock absorbers were Gaz and I’m pleased with the performance. Initially I set the shocks half way but this was too harsh . I reduced to position 2 and the ride is good . I haven’t got a lowering block though . Hope this helps Paul
  4. The plan was to use cellulose then finish off with 1 or 2 k lacquer as this would save a lot of work Paul

  6. Another tick for Tanya, good prices and quick delivery Paul
  7. You should get late 20's on a run but budget for mid twenties - The rule i use is for 200 miles on the trip then look for fuel . My vitesse mk2 has overdrive Paul
  8. If you go the minilite route suggest you fit longer wheel studs to compensate for the thicker alloy rims. Most upgrade to freelander wheel studs . If you need further info I can dig out the forum post Paul
  9. My Vitesse mk2 heated blower is not linked to the ignition switch. There is a detailed fuse upgrade for a GT6 on this forum. I used this info as a basis for my fuse upgrade Paul
  10. This link might help http://www.tudorwebastosunroofs.com/downloads/tudor_websasto_Sunroof_manual_part1.pdf Paul

  18. Hi Rob just checked and my detached garage passes the 45 degree rule and we don’t have a high water table issue so placed an order with www.mech-mate.co.uk for a pit liner . Chosen the smallest they do which is 2.1 metres long . The depth is 1.3 metres and the principle is a sliding seat . Paul
  19. Welcome to the forum , your TR looks fantastic Paul
  20. Have you checked the bulk head for leaks. My major leak in my vitesse was the steering column . The rubber gasket had perished and when it rained the water would drip onto my feet and of course I couldn’t move them out of the way. Changing the rubber gasket was an easy job Pailm
  21. Could you use the 2.5% rule to change brake fluid rather change every 2 years Paul
  22. Received the pit quote This is the smallest pit they do and looks ok for my Vitesse - TSSC has 5% discount Paul
  23. Thanks Clifford - very helpful - I was concerned the valance location might be too hot as although the HUCO is designed for engine bay there is a warning that it mustnt be in direct heat - i guess this is cover against fitting direct to the block like a coil . I will be connecting a failure warning for the same reasons as you describe Thanks again Paul
