  1. Yes, i have made a crude tool with some grips but only good for the larger pipes.
  2. Arrived, look at those pressed ends, no need to worry about pipes popping off.

Result, if it was bad news the letter arrives on a Saturday, so you can't do anything and your anger subsides till Monday!
  4. All apart from red hylomar. I was going to ptfe if it leaked

    Dirty books

I collected some mk1 2000 panels about 2006ish, he has gone now but i did hear someone took hold of his stock, so not lost just somewhere.
  6. At least you know its done right if you do it yourself.
  7. Depends on if they did . Or did they just bolt it together? Check it or have it checked, unless you can ask them.
  8. Proof required that you bought it and it was fitted to that car then? Not one that had previously been fitted to a car you did not own.!?
  9. Different grades of stainless, we had stainless machine's at work which rusted within a month, not caked just dirty lines. The problem with mix and match exhausts instead of whole systems tend not to quite fit exactly, most of the time you can get away with it but if its a tight space a rattle or leak often happens.
  10. Seen them on a car but mine is one of those glass flip up ones . I think they were after market and don't remember seeing them in a parts book or workshop manual. Bet pete knows!
  11. Apparently due to some dodgy research according to work! Although thay didn't use the term dodgy. Its another jump on before posible law suit reaction.
  12. Thats the nature of moving from standard. Its a gift that keeps on giving.
  13. Your behind with the times, apparently normal welding with mild steal using mig can cause nasty fumes now. So even with welding tig on stainless they have got elf and safety in and we have to use air fed masks!
  14. Pipe will be with me tomorrow, only i will be in devon so it will have to wait till Thursday.
  15. Yep, its only there to shield and stop the weld going porous
  16. Cordless would be even better, have a aeg 3 speed tork driver .
  17. Linked to my ejector seat button on the 2500s
  18. What do the snt -62211/125 1000 relate to? Would help identifying my ones, also the makes triumphs used?
  19. Knew someone would post the order soon .
  20. Much easier to change your name to the reg number!
  21. No worry guages, like the glasses that turn black when there is danger in the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy?
  22. Well, original clips, the long ones. Holding plates original and the hex originals i have plenty. For the seal i used lidl draft excluder when it was on sale. I got some heat proof clear bags to put some felt insulation, sealed and stuck to the inside of the cover. Seams to work well.
  23. Having just pulled the gearbox out and back in twice in about a week i know your reluctance to pull out. Going back in the second time was easier. Hands to lift and guide at the front, knees and shins to lift and push at the rear. First having lifted in sort of position with two jacks.
  24. I had to make mine, so made of steel and painted, the body is alot more rigid when bolted down.
