  1. Just put wr78 in the 2500s, runs well with plenty of oomph. Pops could be over fueling, fuel ign in the hot exhaust
  2. Now if someone annoyed you, their dust caps could be changed to them, wonder how long till they noticed!
  3. Thats just one of the benefits of a club, all helping each other.
  4. Interesting, Herefordshire. Must take a look when next over that way.
  5. I must admit i don't know about fast cam's but as writing this the standard clearance would be normal? As iain has just beaten me to it!
  6. Looks brilliant, but devon in a day is probably my limit. Haven't been over since 1977! And then it was south of the border in my dads vauhall victor!
  7. Thats it, just one of those annoying thing's, can't spell to save my life.

  9. Of the top of my head there is an article on how to make the voltage stabiliser. I remember using it to convert mine. Unfortunately i can't remember from where! It was a while ago as i got the parts from maplins.
  10. It was me me me . Thought about going over the other side of norfolk , but the thought of tea at home drew me in.
  11. Head off to get at it properly.
  12. There was i parked in baldock services and look what parked up. I was curious, and they happened to go to the same place as me in Huntington ! Was a bit busy for me there so made my way back home. Really nice drive out, covered about 125 miles which is more than i did for the whole of last year!
  13. Just seen a nice green tr2 going through Baldock, at least thats what it looked like, could not take a photo as driving. Just going to take a rest stop at Baldock service stop.
  14. As pete points out, stainless with stainless when done up to a torqued can "seize " what we call "pick up". If your lucky you can get out of it , plenty of lubrication and winding backwards and forwards to avoid shearing. Then the threads need cutting if needing to use again. Stainless is very hard, gets harder with heat! Its tensile strength is poor, thus its tendency to shear. As pete suggests stick with standard for a long term solution.
  15. Sorry, have not clicked on the link, just took your opening line and picture.
  16. Is that just the cover plate on, the friction plate?
  17. Did you remember your spigot bush?
  18. Some times it is quicker to do ! By the time you have it out and the new in and then your be wondering if it is ok!
  19. Off the top of my head the wiring is a little different and check the length for the propshaft!
  20. Is it me or is it the most hard to get too one goes! My first spitfire it was the rear head one!
  21. Stainless studs and tight stainless nuts, not the best. Stainless tends to pick up . Its strength is not in tension. We have had machines that have sheared heads when put under stress.
  22. Yes at last a drive out! Running really well , a real mile muncher. Had a few people even look!
