I have the same modified G/B, J type O/D on Vit. Mines Square cable tip A/D and speedo. My A/D just clears chassis, though to remove the O/D sump plate. I did have to jack up the G/B a bit, as one sump bolt was hidden by chassis a bit. Dave

My bottle is "down on dirty", though I prefer this. Shows the car has a life/had a life. (and not just because, I really can't be be bothered to detail the engine bay anyway). I find "show queens" a bit boring with often no story, since they became queens. Just personal preferences I guess which good, as gives diversity. If every car was like mine, then that would be a bit boring. Dave

I have heard that disk calipers ideally need to bled (by sqeezing the pistons in) after running new fluid through to remove water that stays there, but did not know that applies to removing wheel cylinders for the same issue. What a faf !. I have always changed fluid every 2/3 years without doing the above, but this implies it's maybe a waste of time?. Thanks, Dave

Have used the Wilko one for a few years, changed at around 3000 miles. Don't drive hard, though never lost any pressure, even on very hot days.

Hi. My Vitesse has Minilite replicas, though the spare is original. Does anyone know if my Minilite wheel nuts will be suitable for the spare please (have been meaning to check this when the car jacked up, but keep forgetting). Thanks, Dave

Cheers Pete and have a HNY. There's one for sale locally. £25.00 that looks sound, off the photo's. I'm Ummin and arinn. Am I ever likely to need it. I guess it's that old chestnut. Hi. Have been reading that may affect combustion a bit, depending on where the outer electrode position is in relation to fuel/air direction is coming into the head. Not after fractions of better performance etc (apparently some folk use the triple electrode plugs for this) , though could this affect plug colour readings, bit Richer/Weaker,when I, look to determine basic mixture settings by plug colour. Wondering that myself. Very heavy rain flooding into the slightly raised grill section of the shelf behind the top bonnet seal, then running down inside, onto the bulkhead?. Dave

I use mine all year round. I think/hope, if protected, Waxoil, etc and hosed off, dirt scraped from known mud traps after winter (roads not salted much here), Try and avoid water entering floors, deck, boot, then okish?. Back in the day, most of these motors were neglected body/chassis wise, did higher mileage in wet, more salty conditions. Not surprising they were rust buckets after 10 years or so I imagine?. Dave
