  1. Never knew CSC existed, found an utube video, seems a simple device. Regards Paul
  2. When restoring the seats in my Mk1 2L Vitesse convertible I came to the conclusion that there is no such thing as Mk1 or Mk2 seats just saloon or convertible for the 2L. Convertible seats introduced early in 2L production to increase legroom, I can not fit comfortably in the car with the "Mk2" seats fitted. Just my opinion, l started a thread on here with pictures from the parts book. https://forum.tssc.org.uk/topic/7239-vitesse-front-seat-2l-mk1-or-2l-mk2-or-saloon-or-convertible/#comment-95359 Regards Paul
  3. All the one's I've seen in the UK have been three part. Regards Paul
  4. Not as good as my expectations but not as bad as l feared. Regards Paul.
  5. Think it is just being used to restrict air/vacuum flow in the pipe, in my limited experience with vacuum gauges they all have an insert in the connection with a very small hole. Regards Paul
  6. Always found it easier to put a longer pin. Parallel Punch mandrel of pop rivet etc.. part way through the hole then as you insert the pin in from the other side it pushes the temporary one out. Regards Paul
  7. Not saying I've done it, don't forget to take the dipstick out when removing the sump with engine in the car. Endless frustration untill you do. Regards Paul.
  8. Seems like Triumph were after every fraction of seat movement to the rear of the car. Regards Paul.
  9. From the 2L section of the Vitesse parts manual, parts for 2L Mk2 not in this book. Regards Paul
  10. Just replaced the "rubber tyre" on the arm of my Black and Decker power file with a piece of brass tube, will have to see how it works. The arms seem to be getting expensive and worse quality. Regards Paul
  11. A post I started about Vitesse seats. https://forum.tssc.org.uk/topic/7239-vitesse-front-seat-2l-mk1-or-2l-mk2-or-saloon-or-convertible/#comment-95359 Regards Paul
  12. I think it's one of the new health and safety hole saws. Regards Paul
  13. Have run my Vitesse with Halogen outers and the original sealed beam inners for years, main beam was always fine it was dip that was poor. Think originally it was about 200W main and 75W dip. Regards Paul.
  14. Often thought it would be easier to move some items past the angle grinder than the other way round. Regards Paul.
  15. Big fan of battery tools, first one a Makita 18V Lithium Ion angle grinder which came with three 3ah batteries. Then just bought the bare tool the most used one probably the ½in impact gun. Regards Paul
  16. Always found a big screwdriver and hammer always worked with a reluctant spin on filter. Bought a spin on conversion for my Vitesse many years ago, pick date 02/08/06 on box never fitted it or had a problem buying original style filters. Is it one of those unnecessary must haves?. The GT6 filter and housing looks the same but GT6 is thinner for some reason, believe it is access. Regards Paul
  17. Same with me sent PM and done very quickly. Many thanks.. Paul
  18. Think it was, though in a later program think the said the new owner was repairing the shell. But then memory and confused so?????. Regards Paul
  19. 68vitesse

    Car covers.

Had a proper outside ventilated cover on my Vitesse while the garage was doubled, had to remove mould from he steering wheel, not impressed and don't think I would use one again. Regards Paul.
  20. Seem to remember a Mini in Bangers and Cash so rotten it was on a pallet, went for good money the stated reason was the commission plate. Regards Paul
  21. 01592 722 999 07858 269096 Spelt the surname wrong, now correct.
  22. I'm over six foot and don't have any problems with room in my Mk1 2L Vitesse CV with the standard convertible seats and standard steering wheel. As an aside I often drive it wearing size twelve walking boots without problems or discomfort. Regards Paul.
  23. 10mm bolt? what was that doing on your Triumph undersized by at least 10%, had correct sized bolt seized in hub but never had one break unlike a front vertical link. To easy to blame "bad design" instead of bad maintenance, as an aside the Triumph 1500 FWD used the same rotaflex as Mk2 Vitesse and some GT6's. Regards Paul
