KevinR Posted September 9, 2020 Report Posted September 9, 2020 All, We are in the process of preparing the forum to create a TSSC Members only section, for TSSC members to have discussions that can only be read by other TSSC members, rather than the entire Forum membership. To start this process, we need to be able to connect your forum user name with the main membership database, and therefore we need you to enter your membership number. If you are not a TSSC member, then simply enter N/A when prompted and carry on as normal. Your membership number is not going to be publicly displayed, it is for Forum admin purposes only. If you want anyone else to know your membership number, then include it in your signature. Kevin
DerekS Posted September 9, 2020 Report Posted September 9, 2020 Thankyou for all your ongoing work on the site Kevin, it is appreciated! 1
Qu1ckn1ck Posted September 9, 2020 Report Posted September 9, 2020 Ah ! So that explains why I had to scrabble around for my membership number before I could log in.
JohnD Posted September 9, 2020 Report Posted September 9, 2020 Thhaks for that Kevin! I thought it was "the computer knows best."
Jeffds1360 Posted September 9, 2020 Report Posted September 9, 2020 (edited) ... I just put N/A 'cos my card is upstairs! Where is the facility to add a signature?....edited... found it Edited September 9, 2020 by Jeffds1360 Found it
Badwolf Posted September 10, 2020 Report Posted September 10, 2020 Jeff - Same with me. I originally though that I was being spammed and only put in the most basic info. Only later did I read Kevin's post and had to go in and correct everything.
dougbgt6 Posted September 10, 2020 Report Posted September 10, 2020 You're a suspicious man Mr Wolf. What is the time? I watched all the series of the not very good NCIS Miami, because there was an agent called Mr Wolf, but not once was he asked the time! Doug

Bazza Posted March 29, 2021 Report Posted March 29, 2021 Hi What is the difference between ‘standard’ and ‘standard and Associate’ membership? Thanks Barry
Pete Lewis Posted March 29, 2021 Report Posted March 29, 2021 associate member is for someone at the same house gets membership benefits but no courier eg you and the wife just adds £6 by direct debit saves you £6 Pete

Anglefire Posted March 30, 2021 Report Posted March 30, 2021 How is this done, because I've not been asked - and I logged out and logged back in too!
PeteH Posted March 30, 2021 Report Posted March 30, 2021 Hmm!. that`s interesting, not just because I could not log on, which prompted me to do some checking. My Membership lapsed during the the last lockdown!. So now I have to chase up and re-new. Dohh!. Are H O working normal hours currently?. Or on short time?. Pete

Pete I renewed on line this year, i should of saved a few quid and done it by direct debit i know but i never do! As for loging on its always automatically done as i only have a smart phone and view from that only. So have not been asked for my membership number, if i had to put that in all the time it would be a complete ass!

I use my android mobile and my desktop and seem to be permanently logged in both. No need for any 'extra' input. Mind, if I buy from the 'shop' I do ensure I am logged in, just in case I miss the discount

Every time!!! I don't have to put in the details as they are remembered just press login!
Badwolf Posted March 30, 2021 Report Posted March 30, 2021 All my devices are set up to auto log in to sites except banks etc, so I don't have a problem most of the time.
DVD3500 Posted March 30, 2021 Report Posted March 30, 2021 I will look into an international membership once I et a better grip on my restoration project. I just found out I have arthritis in my right knee and they want to repair it with titanium (my son seems to think I will turn into iron man). It won't be a financial burden (German national healthcare) but it does mean a lot of Dr. visits I wasn't planning on and I may have to slow things down a bit... I really enjoy this forum and the banter so by not being a member I would feel I am "missing out" 🙂
Pete Lewis Posted March 30, 2021 Report Posted March 30, 2021 its easy too remember my log in ....its why I'm doing it is the snag Pete
AidanT Posted March 30, 2021 Report Posted March 30, 2021 I just signed out and in again but wasn't prompted for my membership number. So now I'm confused, although I use the same username for Tssc and here. A little confused Aidan

A little confused Aidan Aidan, YOU were not prompted for you membership number when you logged in as YOU have already entered it in the past when YOU were first prompted for it. One only gets prompted once, and once entered one doesn't get prompted again. As explained at the start of the thread, we are trying to link the Forum with the main Club membership database so that we can create a TSSC members only area of the Forum (the Forum is open to anyone that joins the Forum - you don't have to be a member of the TSSC to be a member of the Forum). This project will take quite a while to get off the ground, but to make it work we need to know the membership number associated with a user name.

Pete Angie seems to be working all hours from what I can tell, I am sure she said she is back in the office regularly now as well.
Pete Lewis Posted April 1, 2021 Report Posted April 1, 2021 if you ring HQ and angie is in you will get an answer if not you will be given a message and mobile to ring if she is working from home Pete
