My "modern" has done less than 400 miles since the beginning of March. Nick My modern has done 86 miles since March. Actually that's a cheat as I only finally collected it from the show room (2nd hand) 4 weeks ago, having first chosen it in March. Sorry, too hot for proper thoughtful comments. Colin Lindsay
I've put £20 of diesel in mine since March. It would have been less but last week I took the head-staggers and went out on a nice coastal run, so that used up quite a bit. The Gt6 has covered about 30 feet since August 2018... Colin Lindsay
Push power initially, but after the bodywork repairs it now drives all by itself... but just up and down the garage, and into the fresh air for a wash. The garage is quite dusty and half of the world's population of large flies is hanging off the ceiling - I dare not leave the doors open or they'll swarm in. No idea if it's the LED lights, or the white painted walls and ceilings, that attracts them, but there are millions. Then they die and drop off, into my tool boxes or onto fresh paint... hate them! 68vitesse
Little run out this morning in Vitesse Con. for some bits and pieces, forecast fine, why do the heavens open at the farthest point?. Didn't bother with the hood as could keep a fair speed up but could have done with wipers on inside of windscreen as well. Regards Paul
Anglefire
I almost took my Spitfire out today - almost as the drive has lost its covering of bags of sand, MOT and the like after about 5weeks - but thought I'd better give it (the drive, not the car) a jet wash to get it looking something like normal. In time for another week off in 2 weeks to hopefully get the front lawn re-laid as well as back filling the garden to the new walls/patio and grassing that. Chris A
A couple of weeks ago I went on a cheese run round Normandy and also brought back some bottles of apple juice for "the boss". She has drunk it all and as a sign of devotion I went out this afternoon to get some more. A round trip of 100 miles, in all this sun on empty roads. I hope she appreciates the sacrifice I made when I could have been at home cutting the grass. 😎

Chris A
Went out yesterday to get the "stuff" and was delighted to find that the Department (French equivalent of a County) have realised that my Triumph is happiest at 90 (kph of course) rather than 80, and have increased the speed limit on the main road that passes by the village. 😀 The "default" setting in France on main roads is 80, has been for 2 years. Lots or rural Departments wanted it reversed, the government eventually said OK each department can decide. So now roughly 60% of the main roads in the Orne will be put back to 90. However, life is tricky as when leaving a built up area they have to put a '90' sign up if they don't it is back to '80'. As the neighbouring department, La Sarthe hasn't done this I can happily, and legally, drive at 90 almost to to Mamers which is in the Sarthe where there is a sign that says '80' in the middle of no where as it is the border! So if any of you are planning to come to France when you are allowed out 😜 beware!

Peter Truman
lucky buggers we in Melbourne are locked down again for 6 weeks, we've had a flare up of C19 with around 200 cases per day for the last few days after having very low numbers ,10 for a good period, people didn't adhere to social distancing, the rest of Vic and other states are OK, with borders opened and pubs resturants open but we in Melb are the piranha's no one will accept us our borders are locked down! There were a few big unlawful family parties and also the security guards looking after those returning from overseas and doing their 2 weeks Hotel Quarantine, got bored so slept with the inmates & escorted them outside for a fag, appears the original hired security co sub-contracted the work who in turn hired monkeys and fed them peanuts! The problem appears to be mainly north and west of the Yarra River, but they have locked Greater Melbourne down which is fair enough to defeat the bug, country areas are OK, life as normal. So please be careful and social distance on your runs, and enjoy them.
